Why Is Talking About Mental Health An Issue?

Because the fact is everyone in their life has a mental health issue at some stage in their life men and woman. Even if it is only for a short time or a day or two. We all suffer from mental health problems and those that say that they don’t are not being honest with themselves. So lets get it out in the open and all talk about it so we are being straight. It’s nothing to be ashamed about cos we are all in the same boat trying to do the best that we can and be ok. At least when you are being honest others know what the problem is and then you can fix it and work on your issues. You talking about it makes it ok for others to say how they really feel too so be open about it to others so that they work on their issues too.

Once you have admitted there is a problem you can start to work on solutions and get the help that you need. We all have good and bad days that is true. It needs to be ok to talk about how you really do feel. So you don’t suffer in silence on your own and isolated. Speaking up and asking for help is not being weak but strong and looking after you and your wellbeing so you do better. So speak up and get the help that you need with a mental health worker in your area.

Your mental health worker can give you tips and things to do that will help you to feel better. Don’t hide away and pretend everything is ok when it isn’t. Cos the truth is you are not alone in this journey. We all get overwhelmed at some time and nobody benefits when you stay quite and domestic violence victims and abuser have many mental health issues they need to work on so they do better. If you don’t have a mental health worker in your area see a Councillor or go to your local hospital or local Dr. There are also the counselling lines that you can call like lifeline or beyond blue so you get help and support sometimes your friends and family can be a good help too.

Moral: Go for help and speak out when you have Mental Health issues so you are supported and not alone!
